Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of LandGuessr. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

Using the service

LandGuessr is a satellite and street-level geography guessing game. You are responsible for your account, your device, and activity that happens through your session. You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.

Game rules and fair play

• Do not attempt to reveal hidden target coordinates.
• Do not scrape, automate, or overload gameplay endpoints.
• Do not exploit bugs, duplicate requests, or race conditions.
• Do not manipulate leaderboards or impersonate another player.
• Do not bypass usage limits, paywalls, or access controls.

We may remove scores, restrict accounts, or suspend access when we reasonably believe activity violates these rules or harms the service.

Accounts

Authentication is handled through Auth0. You can export or delete your account from the Account data page where self-service deletion is configured, or by contacting hello@landguessr.app.

Paid subscriptions

Paid plans are not fully launched yet. When subscriptions are enabled, pricing, renewal cadence, included features, cancellation instructions, and refund/contact policy will be shown before checkout. Pro access should only be activated after webhook-confirmed payment status from Stripe.

Refunds and billing support

Before public paid launch, billing questions should be sent to hello@landguessr.app. After Stripe billing is enabled, account settings will include a billing portal where users can manage subscriptions and payment methods.

Content, imagery, and maps

Gameplay uses satellite imagery and map services from configured providers. Current production scenes contain modified Copernicus Sentinel data and display the applicable acquisition year or year range with each scene. Copernicus Sentinel data is provided under its own free and open legal notice.

When Street View mode is enabled, selected community panoramas are displayed through Mapillary under Mapillary’s terms and with the provider and creator attribution supplied for each scene.

You may not scrape gameplay endpoints, bypass access controls, or extract hidden scene assets, map tiles, or non-public gameplay data through the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights granted to you directly by an applicable third-party open-data license.

Availability and changes

The service may change, pause, or stop at any time. Beta features, free limits, leaderboards, mobile apps, pricing, and pro features may change before public launch.

No warranties

LandGuessr is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted access, exact imagery availability, error-free scoring, or that the service will meet every need.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, LandGuessr and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or service availability.
